  •               2012 Mission Summary2012 Mission SuccessDuring our mission, we served six community schools and two faith communities in the Mombasa area. The students ranged from pre-school to eigth grade.

In addition to our health and hygene education and promotion focus, we added three new strategies. One included a community health fair attended by approximately 225 to 250 parents and children. The second strategy included hygene t-shirts with health messages silk-screened on them. The third included teaching through the telling of wonderful health and hygene stories for all ages.

Stay tuned for updates on the success of our 2012 Mission.

  • Acknowledgement for contributors to our Special Emergency Food Appeal

We thank all the generous supporters of our Special Emergency Food Appeal; the volunteers, Claypool Market, Pioneer, Teresa’s Restaurant, Jackson, Amador County Recreation Department, and all the patrons who purchased our delicious sweet potato pies.

Our drive ended April 30. However, if you were unable to contribute during that time, we welcome donations.  (Keep the information about donation amounts).

Although we did not reach our goal, we will still be able to contribute a significant amount to purchase food for three schools through December.
